Technology Class is an opportunity for the students at St. Patrick School to learn basic computer skills using new, Chromebook, iPad and desktop computers. Using cloud storage and up to date software, students can seamlessly create both on campus and off campus. Younger grades learn through use of computer teaching games that help with basic motor skills and computer functions while middle grade students focus on typing and research using Microsoft Office and the Internet. Upper grade students extend their skills via video editing, Scratch/ Snap programming and robotics. A special emphasis is placed on Internet safety, in regards to dangerous sites and content, as well as other use. Our Technology Class supports the learning of the students in their other classes by creating lessons around the content that students are receiving in their other studies.
